Emily grew up in Saskatchewan, Canada, but has called Vancouver, Canada, home for the last four years. She is passionate about music and education. Emily holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Regina, a Post-Graduate Artist Diploma from the Vancouver Academy of Music, and a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia.
Emily loves to create a fun atmosphere where students can enjoy exploring and discovering their own unique voice. She has taught voice students ranging in age from 4 to 70 and loves teaching popular music, musical theatre, and classical voice. Emily meets every student where they are and works with them to accomplish their personal goals. She is a strong advocate for student voice during lesson time and believes that a well-rounded voice lesson should explore the technical, emotional, and theatrical aspects of each piece.
Emily strives to create a supportive environment where every student feels empowered to take risks, grow, and celebrate their progress.
