Kelda Mikalson Voice
Owen Sound, Ontario
Kelda Mikalson has had a life full of singing, cycling, and beautiful chaos. She received her Bachelor of Music in the windy coulees of Lethbridge, and then hopped a train east to try her luck. Kelda now lives in Owen Sound, Ontario, where she has found a supportive and wonderfully strange community.
Kelda has a long history of singing in choirs, performing solo, and acting in musicals. She was a member of The A Cappella Chamber Choir of Port Elgin and has competed in the Kiwanis Festival in Owen Sound and at the Provincial level in the National qualifying class. She has put on independent historical and cabaret shows and performed with the Owen Sound Little Theatre and the Lighthouse Swing Band of Kincardine. She performs as often as possible and loves teaching all ages and singing whatever pops into her head.
Kelda began teaching at the 8th St Music Factory in the old Fromager’s Music store and has continued with the Long and McQuade Lesson Centre. Kelda provides private lessons and small group classes at her studio at the Harmony Centre.
Everyone has a voice. Kelda’s goal in lessons is to help you use that voice comfortably and love your own sounds. Whether you are an experienced singer who loves contemporary music, church solos, or art songs or a beginner who wants to be more confident at karaoke or around the campfire, you are welcome at Sing with Kelda.
