NeuroVocal Method®

Training Terms & Conditions for Level 1:

Certificate of Completion

and Level 2:

Certified NeuroVocal Coach

Plain-English Summary (Please Read This First)

NeuroVocal Method® trainings are designed to support your work as a voice teacher or vocal coach with singers.

For all training levels:

You are warmly invited to:

  • Use what you learn in your own one-on-one or group work with singers

  • Integrate concepts into your personal teaching style

  • Apply the material to your own learning and development

  • Display your level of training on your marketing materials

You are not permitted to:

  • Teach NeuroVocal Method® concepts, frameworks, or language in teacher trainings, certifications, courses, workshops, or online programs

  • Repackage NeuroVocal Method® material and sell it to other teachers

  • Share, distribute, or reproduce course materials (written, audio, video, or conceptual frameworks)

  • Indicate a level of training you do not have (e.g., you’re a Certified Coach if you have completed Level 2 and are up-to-date with your ongoing certification training).

Credit is appreciated — but credit alone does not grant permission to teach or sell this work.

Teaching NeuroVocal Method® to other teachers requires formal certification or written permission.

If you currently teach (or plan to teach) courses for voice teachers and feel unsure about your ability to comply with these boundaries, this training may not be the right fit — and that’s okay. You’re welcome to contact us before registering to clarify whether participation makes sense for you, or to discuss becoming an NVM Licensed Instructor.

By registering for this training, you agree to the full Terms & Conditions below.

Formal Terms & Conditions

1. Intellectual Property Ownership

All NeuroVocal Method® trainings, materials, frameworks, terminology, concepts, exercises, explanations, and teaching structures are the intellectual property of Meredith Colby and NeuroVocal Method®.

  • Live and recorded class content

  • Written materials, slides, PDFs, worksheets

  • Conceptual frameworks and pedagogical structures

  • Terminology and instructional language unique to NeuroVocal Method®

All rights are reserved.

2. License to Use (What You Are Allowed to Do)

Upon registration, participants are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use NeuroVocal Method® materials solely for personal educational purposes and for use with their own singing clients.

This license allows participants to:

  • Apply concepts in one-on-one or group work with singers

  • Integrate learning into their own private studio or coaching practice

  • Reference ideas internally in their own teaching approach

  • Indicate their level of training (e.g., Level 1 Certificate of Completion or Level 2 NVM Certified Coach) on their marketing materials

This license does not grant permission to teach NeuroVocal Method® to other teachers.

3. Prohibited Uses

Participants may not, without prior written permission from NeuroVocal Method®:

  • Teach NeuroVocal Method® concepts, frameworks, or language in:

    • Teacher trainings

    • Certifications

    • Courses or workshops for teachers

    • Online programs, memberships, or continuing education offerings

  • Create derivative works that are substantially similar to NeuroVocal Method® frameworks

  • Present NeuroVocal Method® material as their own proprietary system

Use of this material in ways that compete with or substitute for NeuroVocal Method® offerings is expressly prohibited.

4. Credit Does Not Equal Permission

Attribution or citation of NeuroVocal Method® or Meredith Colby does not constitute permission to teach, distribute, or commercialize this material.

Explicit written authorization or certification is required for such uses.

5. Certification Requirement

Teaching NeuroVocal Method® concepts to other teachers, coaches, or professionals requires successful completion of an approved NeuroVocal Method® licensing program and written licensing agreement.

Participation in Level 1, Level 2, or other non-certification trainings does not confer teaching or licensing rights.

6. Respectful Industry Practice

NeuroVocal Method® is committed to ethical collaboration and professional respect within the voice community. These terms exist not to limit learning, but to protect the integrity of a distinct pedagogical framework developed over many years.

7. Right to Refuse or Revoke Participation

NeuroVocal Method® reserves the right to refuse enrollment or revoke access to training if a participant’s use of materials violates these Terms & Conditions.

8. Agreement
